The current research explores the use of aleatory elements in ways that emphasized the dramatic effects of the composers’ oratorios. Furthermore, it explores the historical context and the stages in S. Toduţă’s artistic evolution as well as noteworthy influences or resistance to influential musical trends of the times.  Relevant examples are enclosed for better illustrating the techniques in question.
