A few studies have yet approached the work whose project would not be completed by Sigismund Toduţă. In his paper „The aesthetic message of the musical Baroque mirrored in S. Toduţă’s analyses on J.S. Bach” – included in the 14th volume of „Musicology Papers”, Stefan Angi is the only one to have succeeded in exploring the rhetoric world revealed in the reading of this genuine masterpiece.  As opposed to the aforementioned study, the present paper covers reactions from Romanian and international musicologists following the study of Baroque musical forms in the work of J. S. Bach. The importance of this research stems primarily in the revealing of historically significant documents from the „Sigismund Toduţă” Foundation Archives (press articles and mostly letters).
